"THE PRIVILEGE OF A LIFETIME IS TO BECOME WHO YOU TRULY ARE."
- CARL JUNG

Adolescence is a difficult stage of development, as an individual is no longer a child, but not yet an adult. This can be extremely confusing for both the developing teen and those around them. It is also a time when an individual begins to experiment and establish their unique identity. Therapy can help teens process the complexities regarding growing up, school, and relationships. It can also address mental health and behavioural difficulties that may arise during this period.

Adolescent therapy is more fluid than adult therapy, and may incorporate different methods that allow teens to express themselves both verbally and non-verbally.  A highly trained psychologist with experience in this area will create a caring and confidential environment that will allow teens to better understand themselves and others so that they are able to make healthy choices.

The duration of an individual adolescent therapy session is 50 minutes. During your first session, your psychologist will go through any questions and concerns you have regarding the therapy process, and will explain the ways in which he/she will ensure that your discussions remain strictly confidential. Your psychologist may also discuss different therapeutic approaches and determine which approach will be most suitable for you to achieve your goals.
