“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
- Socrates

I am a warm, open, personable, and down-to-earth clinical psychologist who understands that life is filled with various  challenges and complex experiences that impact us in many ways. You may seek therapy for a wide range of reasons, such as coping with major life changes, emotional difficulties, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, or in order to gain a deeper understanding of yourself with the aim of creating long-lasting personal growth.

Therapy can feel quite daunting and unfamiliar, as it is not a linear process, but is a circular, emotional progression that is grounded in a trusting partnership between you and your therapist. I offer a safe, caring, confidential, and supportive environment in which you are able to explore your feelings, beliefs, behaviours, and challenging memories in order to better understand yourself and others.

I do not believe that “one size fits all” when it comes to therapy, and therefore, I make use of an individualized, integrated approach. This means that I draw from a wide range of therapeutic modalities in order to meet your individual and unique needs to bring about meaningful change.

I have experience in working with children (7+), adolescents, and adults. I also have a particular interest in couples’ therapy, family therapy, and parent counselling. I enjoy seeing individuals of diverse cultures, religions, and backgrounds. I am fluent in English, isiZulu, and SeSotho, and I’m conversant in SePedi and isiXhosa.

I invite you to walk this therapeutic journey with me in creating authentic, meaningful and long-lasting change.
